😊love it - price inflation needs points inflation . Even more amusing is when you pour a 100 point wine into a low priced label bottle .. et voilà 86 points !

American wine society has (or has) a 20 point scale, which I liked. I’ve always thought the 100 point scale was really a 20 point scale. Over the years I’ve come to embrace a “no point” scale, which no one uses. A wine is either good, delicious or superb. Or no score. One of the biggest problems with wine ratings is that they are subjective and can change depending on heath (stuffy nose), mealtimes, and mood. There is no difference between a 91 and an 89 from a quality standpoint, but the American consumer is trained to seek out the higher number.

A good wine can be superb in the right setting - al fresco dining on a beautiful day with great friends.
